WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 8. -- I. H. Shively, a Republican candidate for the legislature, died here Thursday from hydrophobia. A mad stone had adhered to the wound for sixteen hours, but soon after the dreaded symptoms manifested themselves.

Shively. John M. Shively was the son of the Reverend Henry B. and Mary Hunter Shively. John M. Shively was born on 21-December-1828 in Orange County, Indiana. He married Lutecia Buntin on 4-May-1852 in Daviess County, Indiana. He died on 22-March-1863 in Helena, Andrew County, Missouri.
Henry B. Shively was the son of Henry and Mary Banta Shively. Henry B. was born 1-January-1799 in Shelby County, Kentucky. He was married in Nelson County, Kentucky to Mary (Polly) Hunter, daughter of Eliphalet and Frances Hunter. His wife, Mary, died 19-November-1869 and Henry B. married second to Margery Allen Burton, widow of Hutchings Burton. Henry B. was a minister of the Gospel. He died 12-February-1852 in Daviess County, Indiana.
