Mary Shively was born ca. 1795 in PA. Mary was married to George Trippy on 9-Mar-1814 in Columbia County, OH. George Trippy was born ca 1768 and died on 2-Feb-1850 and buried in Monroe Cemetery, Coshocton County, OH. Mary Shively was the daughter of Christian Shively who was born ca 1775 died 1845 in Columbiana County, OH and Susanna Berger born ca 1776 died 1858 in Columbiana County, OH. Susanna was the daughter of Conrad and Mary Berger. Christian Shively was the son of John Shively born 24-Jul-1748 and was carried off by Indians in 1781 and not heard from again. John Shively was the son of Christian Shively died Nov-1773 in York County, PA and Esther Naffin (Neff) died Dec-1803 in York County, PA.
Listed on the 1850 Monroe Township District 26, Coshocton, OH census are Mary Treppey age 54, Sarah age 10, son George age 27 and daughter Eliza age 19. On the 1870 Jefferson Township, Adams County, IN census is the household of John Ketcham age 36, wife Eliza J. age 39, son William age 4 and Mary Trippe age 75. On the 1870 Jefferson Township, Adams County, IN census is the household of John Ketcham age 36, wife Elizabeth age 39, son William age 4 and Mary Triple age 75.
George Trippy had a son, William Trippy, prior to his marriage to Mary Shively. William was born about 1810 and died before June 1850 in Coshocton County, OH. He married 1st wife unknown. William Trippy married 2nd Sarah Emmons (born about 1810, died after 1850 census) on 14-Feb-1839.
George Trippy and Mary Shively had at least the following children:
John Trippy born 13-June-1814 in Ohio and died 4-Jan-1896 in Martin County, IN. Before 1835 he married Sophia Laphrina Young (born 14-Apr-1814 died 9-Feb-1895 in Martin County, IN). They are buried in the Brooks Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, IN.
Christopher Trippy born about 1817 and died between the 1860 and 1870 census. On 26-Feb-1846 at Coshocton, OH he married Marjntha Purdy.
Susannah Trippy born about 1819. She married 1st John Ammons who died before the 1850 census. Susannah married 2nd on 25-Nov-1877 in Coshocton County, OH Laurel L. Root (born in 1803 in Connecticut and died 1884
George Trippy Jr. was born on 3-Apr-1821 in Columbiana County, OH and died on 16-Oct-1896 in Adams County, IN. On 16-May-1869 in Adams County, IN he married Mary Catherine Belt (born about 1852 in IN died before 16-Oct-1896. George Trippy Jr. is buried in Loufbourrow Cemetery in Adams County, IN.

Elizabeth Jane Trippy was born on 20-Sep-1833 in Columbiana County, OH and died on 26-May-1911 in Adams County, IN. On 2-Oct-1862 she married John Ketchum (born about 1835 and died between 1880 and 1900).
Sarah Ann Trippy was born about 1840. On 1-May-1857 in Coshocton, OH she married C. J. Hearland (Headland). On 27-May-1876 in Mercer County, OH we married George W. Logan (1841-1883).

Mrs. Levi Trippy Buried Sunday
Aged Lady Of The Spencerville Community Passes Away At The Home Of Her Daughter, Nora Haney, Friday — Was Almost Ninety Years Of Age
Mrs. Levi Trippy, one of the oldest citizens of the Spencerville community passed away at the home of her daughter, Nora Haney, Friday, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Mrs. Trippy’s maiden name was Matilda Fisher, and she was born in the state of Pennsylvania, March 7, 1832. December 19, 1851 she was united in marriage to Levi Trippy. To this union were born nine children. The eight children remaining are: H. N. Trippy, Mary Haver, T. J. Trippy, Susann Fisher, all of Van Wert county; Anna Rupert, Monroe, Ind., W. H. Trippy, Otsego, Mich., Jennie Haver, Lima, and Nora Hanby, Spencerville. Mrs. Trippy for the past several years has made her home with her daughter, Nora.
Besides the sons and daughters left there are thirty-five grandchildren and fifty-seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Trippy was the last of a family of sixteen to go. Her husband passed away in 1898. Up to the time of his death the old home was near the Olive Chapel M. E. church. Mrs. Trippy was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services were held at the Olive M. E. church, Sunday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. C. J. Hance.
