Nancy Elanore Easter was born on 7-April-1840 in Ohio. She was the daughter of John Easter and Elanore Davidson. Nancy Elanore Easter was married on 14-January-1862 in Adams County, Ohio to William Marion Shiveley (Shively). She died in Scioto County, Ohio on 29-May-1923. William Marion Shiveley was the son of Jacob Shively and Elinor Hornback. He was born 9-October-1840 and died 24-December-1925.

Shiveley and Nancy Elanore Easter were the parents of at least eleven children: George Washington born ca 1863, Charles Edward born ca 1864, Alice Jane born ca 1866, William Marion born ca 1868, Charlotte Ella born ca 1870, Mollie Baltimore born ca 1871, Maggie May born ca 1873, Cora Ellen born ca 1875, Jacob Austin born ca 1876, Clark Ayres born ca 1878 and Henry Anson born ca 1883. The family of William M. Shiveley (Shively) and Nancy Elanore Easter are located on the 1870, 1880, and 1900 Jefferson Township, Adams County, Ohio census records. They are listed on the 1900 and 1910 Niles Township, Scioto County, Ohio census records.

Mrs. Nancy Eleanor Easter Shively
Mrs. Nancy Eleanor Easter Shively was born April 7, 1840, died May 29, 1923, aged 83 years, one month and 22 days. She was united in marriage to Rev. William M. Shively, January 14, 1862. To this union was born eleven children, six sons and five daughters, four sons having preceded her in death. She leaves one brother, five daughters, and two sons, 84 grand children, and 61 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. She united with the M. P. church at the age of 17 years and was happily converted and lived a devoted Christian life until death. She was an indulgent mother, benevolent and kind to all with whom she associated. She has gone to her reward.

William Shively
William Shively, 85, a pioneer resident of Adams county died Thursday at his home in Rome, his death being due to gangrene. He is survived by one son, Edward of this city and numerous relatives at Friendship, West Side. Burial took place Saturday afternoon in the Friendship cemetery.
