Mrs. Alpha Shively Foulks, widow of William J. Foulks died at her home in Cleveland Sunday October 8th, of heart trouble. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shiveley and was born and raised near Moultrie, Ohio. She was 59 years of age and was the mother of eight children, five of whom survive their mother. She is also survived by four brothers and a host of friends and neighbors who sadly mourn her demise. Funeral which was largely attended was held Wednesday at the Moultrie chapel. Rev. Byler, of the Church of the Brethren of which she was a member officiated. Burial was made in the Moultrie cemetery.

Vet N. O. P. Employe Dies Yesterday
Funeral for George E. Shively, 63, employe of the N. O. P. & L. Company for nineteen years and a teacher in Tuscarawas county schools for eighteen years prior to his train service, who died at 10 a.m. yesterday at his home on the Uhrichsville paved road, four and a half miles east of this city, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the family residence. Burial will be made in East Avenue cemetery, this city, by the Linn-Hert company. Mr. Shively never recovered from the effects of paralysis with which he was stricken last December.
Mr. Shively was one of the best known conductors of the N. O. P. & L. Company. He remained in the service of the traction company after the car service was abandoned on the Massillon-Uhrcchsville division in May and June, 1929.
He was born Dec. 6, 1867, in West township, Columbiana county, a son of Samuel S. and Elizabeth E. Shively. He received his normal school training at Ohio Northern University at Ada. Mr. Shively was married May 25, 1893, to Nannie F. Ohler.
Mr. Shively entered the service of the N. O. P. & L. Company in 1900. He was a devoted member of the M. E. church at Middle and was superintendent of the church's Sunday school, and a teacher of the Brotherhood class. He also was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Nannie Daisy Ley, Canton; Miss Martha Earline Shively, Lakewood, and Mrs. Marjorie Elizabeth Blacks, New Philadelphia, and three brothers, John, James and Marion Shively, all of Cleveland.
John H. Shively was born 22-Nov-1870 Moultrie, Columbiana County, OH and died 16-Apr-1936 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH.

A veteran for more than a quarter century in the post office here, Marion L. Shively will be buried in his native Moultrie, O., after services at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the Rinear-Lambert funeral home, 13138 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland. He was 73.
Mr. Shively died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Herman, Grove Avenue, Mentor. He taught school in the Canton area for some years before he entered the postal service. On his retirement 17 years ago he was foreman in the main office here.
Surviving him are his wife, Lulu, and four daughters, Mrs. Byrd Reynolds, Mrs. Ruth H. Spohn, Mrs. Bryda Kohl and Mrs. Herman.
James C. Shively was born 1881 and died 31-Dec-1944 Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH.
