Samuel Shively was born 10-Nov-1816 and died 29-Oct-1906 in Northampton County, PA.  On the PA death certificate his parents are listed as John Shively and Elizabeth Best. Samuel married first Caroline Renner and second Margaret Deily Fraunfelder. Margaret had married 1st George Fraunfelder. Margaret was the daughter of Christian Deily and Polly Bowers.  Margaret was born 25-Jun-1823 and died 14-Dec-1925.

Samuel Shively and Caroline Renner were the parents of at least the following children:  Marietta born 13-Jul-1841 died 22-Nov-1917 married John Fritz; Matilda born 27-Feb-1843 died 5-Apr-1926 married Daniel Hawk; John born 30-Nov-1845 died 1-Jul-1867; George born 3-Jul-1846 died 13-Sep-1890 married Emma Lenora Yeager; Benjamin born 4-May-1848 died 9-Aug-1871; Emma E. born ca. 1848; Maria born 1853; Samuel born 1854; Susan born 2-Jun-1855 died 13-Nov-1951 married Augustus Schreiner; Richard born 2-Aug-1857 died 2-Dec-1930 married 1st Matilda Achenbach 2nd Alice Louisa Keiper; Caroline born 1860 and James Washington born 22-Feb-1862 died 11-Feb-1913 married Sally Ann Yiesley.

Samuel Shively, of Stockertown, died Monday of a complication of diseases, aged 91 years. The deceased is grandfather of Patrolman Samuel Shively, of Bethlehem. The deceased is survived by these children: Jas. Shively, of Easton; Richard Shively, of Nazareth; Tillie, wife of Daniel Hauck, of Stockertown; Mrs. Susan Schreiner and Marietta, wife of John Fritz, of Wind Gap. The funeral will take place on Thursday from his late residence, in Stockertown. Interment in cemetery adjoining.

Mrs. Margaret Deiley Shively Was Born At Stockertown in 1823

Mrs. Margaret Deiley Shively, widow of Samuel Shively, formerly of Stockertown, Easton's oldest resident, is celebrating her 101st birthday anniversary today at the the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Thomas, 321 High street, Easton; where she has lived since October. Mrs. Shively was born near Stockertown on June 25, 1823, and has lived in this vicinity all her life. She is a member of the Fork's Lutheran church. Many friends and relatives have expressed their intention of visiting and congratulating her today.
