This site was created by Larry Shively who is researching the history of the Shively families. The goal is to have a site where all Shively researchers can share and ask questions in regards to their Shively lines. The largest majority of the Shively family records are located in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. There are early records of Shively's also in Virginia and Kentucky. There are not many established Shively lineages back to Europe. There are documented lineages to Switzerland and Germany. Through the sharing of information from all of our research it is desired that all can learn about our Shively families.

Deserted
His Young Wife And Left Bradford Behind
Guy Weybright, Well Known School Teacher, Is Missing There
Bradford citizens are a good deal exercised over the somewhat mysterious disappearance of Pro Guy Weybright, a school teacher of that place.
It is said that he was last seen on Thursday evening of last week and that he took his departure without apprising anyone on his intension to do so. No word having been received from him, it is presumed that he has deserted his wife, a highly respected young woman. A brother of the missing man came to the village Monday and it is said claimed that he had purchased Weybright's horse and buggy, but L T DuBois, the father of Mrs. Weybright, refused to let him have them. From this incident it is believed that the brothers have planned flight together or that the claimant of the outfit is aiding his brother to escape without being traced. No reason for the young man's leave-taking has been divulged, though of course the ordinary rumors are afloat in the village.
Weybright is quite well known throughout the county from his connection with local politics. He moved among the best people of Bradford and was well thought of.

Located on the 1900 Adams Township, Darke County, OH census is the family of Guy M. Weybright born Apr-1878 age 22 and wife Elizabeth born May-1880 age 20. Located on the 1910 Precinct 16, Otero County, Colorado is the household of Harry DuBois age 20, Guy Weybright age 32 and Elizabeth Weybright age 20.
