He married Gertrude Faith Mees on 28-Jun-1924 in Franklin County, OH.  Gertrude Faith Mees, daughter of George Mees and Lydia Tinkler, was born 3-Nov-1903 in London, England and died 19-Oct-1993 in Dayton, Montgomery County, OH.  Albert Marvin Shively was the son of Columbus Preston Shively (born 28-Nov-1868 died 4-May-1948 in Columbus, Franklin County, OH) and Minnie Adel Littlejohn (born 9-Aug-1870 died 2-Oct-1950 in Columbus, Franklin County, OH). Columbus Preston Shively was the son of father not verified and Mary Elizabeth Shively (born 1-Jun-1852 died 4-Mar-1928 in Columbus, Franklin County, OH and later married Isaac Clark). Mary Elizabeth Shively was the daughter of Jacob Shively (born 28-Aug-1810 Columbiana County, OH died 15-Jul-1874 in Gallia County, OH) and Matilda Gilson Shively (born 5-Aug-1812 Columbiana County, OH died 8-Aug-1902 Gallia County, OH).

Listed on the 1930 Springfield, Clark County, OH census is the family Albert M. Shively age 26 a repairman for an electric company, wife Gertrude F. age 26 and son Jackie age 7 months. Listed on the 1920 Columbus, Franklin County, OH census is the family of Columbus P. Shively age 49 a foreman in a factory, son Albert M. age 15 a woodworker in a factory, son Thaddius age 9, daughter Edith Roy age 24, granddaughter Thelma M. Roy age 6, granddaughter Florence M. Roy age 5, grandaughter Irene E. Roy age 2, and granddaughter Eileen E. Roy age 2.

Charles Dwight Shively, Son Of Charles Lenard Shively, Who Lived In Hancock County, Ohio

Charles Dwight Shively was born 23-Sep-1916 and died 14-Sep-1977 in Findlay, Hancock County, OH. He was the son of Charles Lenard Shively (born 6-Nov-1880 in Henry County, OH died 22-Nov-1951 in Hancock County, OH) and Maude Hull (born 6-Feb-1881 died 20-Dec-1958 and a daughter of Robert Hull and Jennie Ray).  Charles Lenard Shively was the son of Isaac Newton Shively (born 10-Aug-1852 in Hancock County, OH died 7-Jul-1930 in Hancock County, OH) and Emma Punches (born 18-Jan-1854 died 18-Jan-1934 in Hancock County, OH).  Isaac Newton Shively was the son of James Shively and Mary Treece.

Listed on the 1920 Marion Township, city of Findlay, Hancock County, OH census is the household of Charles L. Shively age 39 a laborer in the oil fields, wife Maud D age 38, and son Charles D. age 3.  Listed on the 1930 Findlay City,  Hancock County, Oh census is the family of Charles L. Shively age 49 a sectional laborer for the railroad, wife Dolly M. age 49, son Charles D. age 13, father Isaac N. age 77, mother Emma J. age 76. 

The Ohio Death Certificates list the death of the infant daughter (a twin) of Charles Shively and Bernadine Allison who was born 4-Jul-1940 and died 4-Jul-1940 and buried in Cemetery.  From the Ohio Birth Certificates Bernadine Mae Allison was born 8-Jul-1917 in Willshire, Van Wert County, OH  the daughter of John Ed Allison and Vesta Biggs.  From the newspaper obituary for Charles D. Shively mention is made that he married Geraldine Blaksley on 15-Oct-1947 and then on 25-Jun-1972 to Phyllis R. Johns Todd.

Charles D. Shively
Charles D. Shively, 61, 329 Seventh Street, was dead on arrival at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 22, 1916, to Charles L. and Maud (Hull) Shively. He married Geraldine Blaksley and she died in 1964. On June 25, 1972, he married Phyllis R. Todd, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Charlene) Lawson, Robinson, Ill.; a son, David Shively, Los Angeles, Calif.; four step-sons, Ronald Cramer, Cincinnati; WIlliam Johns, Powell; Dennis Johns, North Carolina; Charles Johns, Columbus; two step-daughters, Mrs. Wreatha Bartchlett, Findlay; Debra Watson, Columbus; four grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
Mr. Shively was a retired tax analyst for Marathon Oil Co. He was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, Elks and St. John's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kirkpatrick-Hawkins Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Brown officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today and 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Geraldine Shively
Mrs. Geraldine M. Shively, 47, 329 Seventh St., died at Blanchard Valley Hospital at 1:12 p.m. yesterday of a heart ailment. She was ill two weeks.
Born in Hancock County, Aug 19,1916, she was a daughter of Smith and Mary (Wise) Blaksley. She was married in 1936 to Carl Cramer, who died in 1946, then to Charles D. Shively Oct. 15, 1947. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald D. Cramer and a daughter, Charlene Ann Shively, both at home, and a sister, Mrs. Maurice (Dorothy) Kirsten, Findlay. A sister, Mrs. Marion Shafer, is dead.
Mrs. Shively was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Alpha Circle, CCL.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Kirkpatrick-Barnhart Funeral Home, the Rev. John Grohne officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.

Henry Shively And Alice Gutelius, Who Lived In Union County, PA

Henry Shively was born 19-Feb-1852 in Pennsylvania and died 13-Dec-1930 in Union County, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of Christian M. Shively (born 23-Nov-1817 in Union County, PA , died 21-Nov-1880 in Union County, PA) and Anna Beaver (born 20-Apr-1820, died 16-May-1863 in Union County, PA). Henry Shively was married to Alice Gutelius who was a daughter of Jacob Gutelius and Mary Passmore.  Alice was born 17-Dec-1855 and died 7-May-1944.

Listed on the 1860 Union County, PA census is the family of Christian M. Sheivley age 42, wife Anna age 40, son George W. age 19, daughter Elizabeth A. age 17, daughter Addie age 12, daughter Amanda age 12, son John A. age 10, son Henry age 8, daughter Carolina age 7, son Thomas M. age 2, daughter Joanna age 4 months and William Boop age 19.  Listed on the 1900 Mifflinburg Borough, East Ward, Union County census is the household of Henry Shively born 1852 age 48 married 15 years, wife Alice G. born Dec-1855 age 44 having born 3 children and 3 children living, daughter Mary A. born Jan-1886 age 14, son Fred P. born Dec-1888 age 11, and daughter Jessie G. born Nov-1893 age 6. Listed on the 1910 Mifflinburg, Union County, PA census is the family of Henry Shiveley age 58, wife Alice G. age 54, daughter Mary A. age 23, son Frederick P. age 22 and daughter Jessie G. age 16.

Henry Shively Dies At Mifflinburg
Henry Shively, highly respected resident of Mifflinburg, passed away at his home in that place Saturday night. Death was due to a heart attack.
Mr. Shively was formerly a merchant in that town and for many years the tax collector. He was prominently known thruout the community, loved and respected by his many friends. He was a member of the Presbyterian Sunday School and church.
Mr. Shively was born at White Springs, February 19, 1852. He is survived by his wife, nee Alice Gutelius, and the following children, Mary A. Shively, at home; Frederick Shively, Scranton; Mrs. J. B. Bates of Mifflinburg. Also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Ida Dreiblebis, and Amanda Shively, of Monroe Wis.; and Abner Shively, of Mifflinburg.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the late home with Rev. Robert Vining, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment was made in the Mifflinburg cemetery.

The following was found in the Lewisburg Journal, Thursday, May 11, 1944, Page 8, Column 4:
Bury Mrs. Alice Shively At Mifflinburg Tues.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the late residence for Mrs. Alice G. D. Shively 88, life-long resident of Mifflinburg who died at her home 265 Green street, Sunday evening of complications and infirmities of old age. She had been in ill health for more than a year and her condition became serious a week ago.
Mrs. Shively was born in Mifflinburg, December 17, 1855, the daughter of the late John and Mary Gutelius. She was a member of St. Paul's United Evangelical Church. Her husband, Henry Shively, preceded her in death fourteen years ago.
She leaves two daughters, Miss Mary A., at home, and Mrs. Jerry Bates, of Mifflinburg, a son, Fred P. of Scranton, and one granddaughter.
Rev. C. D. Pewterbaugh, pastor of St. Paul's United Evangelical Church of Mifflinburg, officiated at the services and burial was in the Mifflinburg cemetery.
